Physician Assistant
Anitha Jacob PA-C is a nationally certified Physician Assistant licensed in the state of New York. She practices in the field of orthopedic total joint surgery under the direction of Dr. Jose A Rodriguez. Ms Jacob is involved in many aspects of patient care including diagnosing and treating patients within the office, assisting in the operating room, interpreting diagnostic studies, patient education and research projects. She has been a practicing PA for over seven years.  Ms. Jacob had worked in the Department of Orthopedics at Lenox Hill Hospital for over four years before specializing in Adult Reconstructive Surgery.  She has also works per diem in the Emergency Department at Winthrop University Hospital.

Anitha graduated from New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies. She is currently pursuing her Master's Degree from Stony Brook University with a focus on Healthcare Management

Fellow, Adult Reconstruction
Dr. Prashant Deshmane is the Adult reconstruction fellow for 2009-10. He has completed his orthopedic residency at K. E. M. Hospital, Mumbai, India in 2006. After working as senior registrar in joint replacement service for 2 years post residency, he decided to come to USA for advanced training and research experience. He completed his clinical research fellowship in arthroplasty at Dr. Lawrence Dorr arthritis Institute, Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles CA for a year and half before joining Dr. Rodriguez as a clinical fellow. He is interested in joint replacement surgery and sports medicine. He has successfully completed research projects which are accepted in peer reviewed journals and is working on ongoing research projects with Dr. Rodriguez.

Fellow, Adult Reconstruction
Kelly Stets is originally from Buffalo, NY and attended undergraduate studies at Duke University.  She returned to Buffalo for a MD degree at SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.  Then she completed orthopaedic surgery training at Mt. Sinai Hospital's residency program in NY, NY.  Future plans include a practice focusing on adult recontruction and joint replacement surgery.

Research Coordinator
Dr. Ajit Deshmukh leads the clinical research department at Rodriguez Orthopaedics, under supervision of Dr. Jose Rodriguez. Dr. Deshmukh received his medical degree from University of Mumbai (Bombay), India, in 2003 and thereafter persued residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at University of Pune, India, receiving his Master of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2007. He is keenly interested in hip and knee surgery and first came to New York as an international visiting fellow under Dr. Rodriguez's tutelage. Dr. Deshmukh is presently working on various research projects in an endeavor to improve existing prosthetic joint technology, surgical techniques, and diagnostic modalities in arthritis.
